The Sooth is based on soothsayers: diviners or oracles within various cultures and societies. To be a Soothsayer one must be in tune with the Spirit and determine a message to provide to the seeker so they may have divine guidance for their practical and spiritual matters.
Akoda and Aseda are from Yoruba Mythology, they are said to have been the first diviners of the Ifá system given to them from the god of wisdom Orunmilla.

These names show homage to the roots of our black culture as we continue to explore them. By choosing these names as handles we embody the energies that are Akoda and Aseda and want to channel them for the good of Black Consciousness.
We seek to deliver a message that is positive and uplifting. A connection to Source or Spirit is necessary for building a positive culture and uplifting life.
In the beginning there was nothing. In the end there is nothing. In between exists all there is.
We cast the beans and tell the Sooth.
